About the DRP
Why Working Together Matters... Winnable Progressive Candidates!
The Alberta Democratic Renewal Project (DRP) is not a political party but an organization of ordinary Albertans from all parties. We are building a grassroots coalition of supporters of the Alberta Liberals, Alberta New Democrats, Alberta Party, Vision 2012 Society ('new' Greens), former Tories, and independents who are working together to elect a responsible provincial government.
In the next Alberta election, the split between Conservative and Wildrose votes will give progressive voters a chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity to end the Tories' 40-year rule, to defeat both right-wing parties, and to elect a new kind of government that truly represents ALL Albertans.
To further this goal, we are setting up a Voter's Website where we'll keep track of the most winnable progressive candidates in selected constituencies in Alberta. For people who want to vote strategically, the website will make it easier to identify the best chance candidate from one of the following in the next provincial election: the Alberta Liberals, the Alberta New Democratic Party, the Alberta Party, or Vision 2012.
The Voter's Website will explain why candidates have been endorsed and will allow Albertans to submit information which might reinforce or change our assessment.
